The ASET Foundation has identified curriculum development – in both distance and online education formats – as a high priority. Contributions to the Neurodiagnostic Curriculum Development Fund help meet the need for continuing education in such disciplines as EEG, EP, IONM, NCS, and LTM. In addition to providing expanded opportunities for technologists seeking beginning to advanced training – and board preparation – that is affordable, accessible, and convenient, distance and online education curricula provide a “turn-key” operation that can be utilized by community colleges nationwide.

Contributions to the Curriculum Development Fund have enabled the Foundation to award a grant to ASET to help underwrite the development costs of the Society’s IONM online courses. In 2010, the Foundation awarded a grant to the Department of Allied Health Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for course development for a bachelor’s degree curriculum focusing on advanced practice in neurodiagnostics and sleep sciences. In 2013, the Foundation awarded a grant to East-West University for implementation of a hybrid curriculum in the university’s Neurodiagnostic Technology program, and to Laboure’ College for development of a new NeuroIntraoperative Monitoring program.

So that more technologists will have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, understanding, and skills in the neurodiagnostics field, please continue to give generously to the Neurodiagnostic Curriculum Development Fund. Your contributions are tax deductible from your income in the year they are donated. You may make a donation online or download a donation form.
